False Dawn

False Dawn
Admin

The Horde:

Amun Neb'Ankh’s nightmare army. A disturbing assortment of undead comprise Amun’s followers, who number well into the thousands, and continue to grow. He has several generals to manage sections of the army and to assist him in various matters. Amun is just biding his time. For now. In the meantime, the Horde regularly terrorizes the areas surrounding Egypt, collecting specimens for grotesque experiments and to fuel the army. [See Plot for more information]

The Shadow Court:

Today, the Shadow Court is still the dominant and the only large-scale political organization of the supernatural races. It works closely with the human governments in Europe, which have generally agreed to turn over criminals and cases involving supernatural races to the Shadow Court to deal with, putting it in the delicate position of making humans feel safe around other races, while maintaining their political ties with the main bodies of these other races. Jaquelyn, the vampire Queen of the Shadow Court, cares little whether humans outside of her domain die or suffer, but ensures that the Court performs these duties fairly enough to keep their good standing in the human world and outside of it. [See Plot for more information]

The Church:

Upon seeing the devastation caused by the Unveiling Conflict, some members of the Catholic Church began preaching against the evil they perceived in necromancy and vampires. When the Shadow Court took notice and some of these priests began to disappear, the Church was quick to defend itself by disavowing these views, and any priests that refused to rescind their statements were cast out. These priests and their eventual followers began travelling Europe, using the fear of the people to gain sympathy and support. Eventually, they made their way to America, where they began a new Church with a clean slate. They preached of their desire for peace with all races along with their original Christian beliefs, and gained many followers. Over the centuries since the Unveiling, they have gained ground in America, becoming a common and well-respected religion, and have spread internationally. However, behind the scenes, they have continuously worked to destroy those they feel are incompatible with their goal of peace.

In an operation known to few that weren’t directly involved, they began a crusade to root out all the evils of the world, using any means necessary. Several angels heard their prayers and descended, and have since played a key role in leading the crusade. These saints will stop at nothing to drive a spear into the heart of the darkness. Many congregants deemed capable of fighting in this holy war have been brainwashed into zealotry, while others accept invitations to serve this worthy cause. They have also delved into a darker science, creating beings that know nothing but the Church, whose zealotry runs through them like blood. These are outfitted with special Power Suits and powerful weaponry, and generally hold a high ranking in the Church.

After the recent death of its previous leader, the Church is currently holding elections for a new leader. See the applicable thread in the Character Templates to apply.

Shade Securities:

Supernatural monsters beating down your door? Riots in the streets you’re afraid will spill into your very expensive lawn? Or is there just a pesky demigod trying to encroach on your territory? Well look no further! Shade Securities is guaranteed to keep you and your valuables safe and secure for a reasonable price!

Or so the ad goes. While Khaine’s organization does fulfill these security contracts, they are more suited to offense than defense. Khaine has created a business out of death that both strengthens him and his standing. So long as the individual is proficient in combat, Khaine isn’t terribly picky in who he employs. Most of his “employees” have also signed contracts with him to increase their power in exchange for their souls. Join now!
